Resilient Texas Storms Back, Walks Off East Carolina

GREENVILLE, N.C. — After East Carolina’s 13-7 win against Texas on Friday, ECU two-way star Zach Agnos said he felt like it was a one-run game even when his Pirates held a 7-2 lead, because of how explosive the Texas offense is. The Longhorns fought back to get within a run in the eighth inning of that game, but East Carolina was able to pull away late.

Fast forward to Saturday, and East Carolina once again held a 7-2 lead, heading into the seventh inning. Another record crowd at Clark-Leclair Stadium (5,807) could almost taste that long-awaited first trip to Omaha[…]
