Postseason baseball at East Carolina’s Clark-Leclair Stadium is always a wonderful showcase for the sport, but the atmosphere Saturday night was especially electric even by ECU standards. An ECU-record crowd of 5,603 packed Clark-Leclair and generated truly remarkable noise for nine straight innings, with fans packing the Jungle from foul pole to foul pole, hanging over the outfield fence and banging on it with gusto.
