Stanford Regional: Bobcats Take Control
PostseasonPALO ALTO, Calif. —Day two has come to a close in Palo Alto and, much to the surprise of many not living in the San Marcos, Texas area, the Texas State Bobcats are the ones sitting at 2-and-0 after all is said and done. They took down No. 1 seeded Stanford 5-2 in the nightcap of the doubleheader to leap ahead of the other programs and pull within one win of going to the Super Regionals. Prior to that, UC Santa Barbara eliminated Binghamton with a 9-4 win to stay alive in the tournament.
