Lynch Shows Promise

In a summer that’s been primarily dominated by pitchers with high octane velocity, Daniel Lynch (2018, lhp, Virginia) has stood out as one of the elite true pitchers in the league. The 6-foot-6 southpaw has been utterly dominant for the Orleans Firebirds, and has performed on the strength of highly advanced command and ability to effectively mix his excellent secondary offerings. Over his first 14.2 innings of work, Lynch has posted a 1.42 ERA, struck out 14 and has yet to walk a batter. And although he may not be overpowering, he’s enjoyed an uptick in raw stuff that has scouts dreaming on his potential.
