Fall Report: Ole MissPremium
OXFORD, Miss. – There is a new wave of talent on the way to Oxford in 2017 and a glimpse of a very promising future for the program has already taken place this fall at Ole Miss. It’s a team that currently is defined by upside, and while there are wildcards to be sure, particularly in the pitching department, there are very few players competing for key roles that don’t possess star level upside. And this can be said for not just the incoming recruiting class, but for upperclassmen that appear to be on the verge of blossoming as well.
A lot of questions were answered this fall for head coach Mike Bianco and his staff, but there are still a number of questions on the table headed into the spring, but that’s more than alright as far as they’re concerned. This is a roster with the right kind of unanswered questions, as it presents itself as a very deep and versatile one. The operating theory is that there will be a little bit of trial and error yet to come and that this will be a far more fully formed team months into the season than when the season began.
