Fun Continues For MSU’s HumphreysPremium
STARKVILLE, Miss. — In his first two seasons in Starkville, Reid Humphreys was the talented prospect with untapped potential. As a junior, the production is starting to match the projection.
Thursday at Dudy Noble Field, Humphreys went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and a double in Mississippi State’s 9-2 victory over Georgia. In the last four games, Humphreys is now 8-17 with six extra-base hits (three home runs and three doubles).
“We scored a lot of runs and we got a lot of hits from other guys and made it easy for everyone to loosen up,” Humphreys said. “It was a fun night for us.”
His college career has not always been fun as injuries have slowed his progress, as has the adjustment to the next level.
