College Prospect Insider: Week OneProspects
Each week throughout the college baseball season, the D1Baseball.com College Prospect Report will provide updated scouting reports and scouting news on key prospects from around the nation. We’ll cast a wide net, as we examine prospect performances for every type of player, from the 2017 draft eligible star to the intriguing fresh faced freshman on the verge of playing a more pivotal role with a key performance.
Using scouting and coaching resources from around the nation, each week’s report will bring the latest on prospects’ velocity, improvements at the plate, home to first times and all the key aspects of the game on which these players are evaluated throughout the season and the entirely of their college careers. We’ll also weigh in on how their most recent performances could impact their future draft stock as well as their place on their current rosters.This notebook will not touch on every prominent prospect performance each week, but will highlight many of the most notable ones.

2017 Draft Tracker
Alex Lange (LSU) brought electric stuff to the mound with him on Friday, and it reflected in his five inning, four hit, no walk, six strikeout line for the day. He pitched at 94-96 mph early in the outing before settling at 91-94. His breaking ball command was also excellent, inducing some chases out of the zone and spotting some others for strikes early in counts.
