With cold weather nearly everywhere around the country this week, the Heat Sheet wasn’t so hot either. No new names were added this week. However two arms already on the list turned up the gas a bit, adding another mph to their stature. In Seattle, electric-armed Max Meyer (Minnesota) touched 97 against Oregon State, up from his previous high of 96. And in Houston, strong-armed Cade Cavalli (Oklahoma) made the same jump against Rice.
After four weeks of games, here’s a list of the 22 college pitchers we have seen throw at least one fastball 96 mph or better.
