STANFORD, Calif. — Trying to escape the chill of the eastern two-thirds of the United States in Week Four, I headed to the West Coast to see the only weekend matchup in the country between two Top 25 teams. It was still a bit on the cool side, but No. 12 Texas at No. 6 Stanford, as well as a drive into the City for a couple games at the University of San Francisco, provided plenty of talented prospects. As for tools and talent, here’s what I saw…
No. 12 Kyle Stowers, OF, Stanford– Injured after colliding with center fielder Kyle Robinson in the first game of the previous weekend series against Fullerton State, Stowers did not play the first two games of the Texas series. At 6-foot-3, 205 pounds he’s athletic bodied with good strength throughout. His frame should also allow for some additional strength/weight gains in the future.
