Tennessee remains No. 1 in the D1Baseball Top 25 rankings for the third consecutive week after sweeping South Carolina to win a share of the SEC regular-season title with Kentucky, which holds steady at No. 2 after taking a series from Vanderbilt.
Clemson and Texas A&M each move up a spot to No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. The Aggies took two of three from Arkansas to end the regular season, knocking the Hogs down two spots to No. 5 in the rankings. Oregon State and North Carolina hold their ground in the next two spots.
Oklahoma jumps four spots to No. 8 after winning the Big 12 regular-season title by four games. American Athletic Conference champion East Carolina also jumps four spots to No. 9, and Florida State remains No. 10.
NC State makes one of the week’s biggest moves, leaping five spots to No. 12 after sweeping Wake Forest, which tumbles from No. 8 to No. 22. UC Santa Barbara makes an even bigger move, vaulting nine spots to No. 13 after sweeping Cal State Northridge and clinching at least a share of the Big West title.
Southern Miss enters the rankings at No. 25 after taking a series from Texas State, giving the Golden Eagles nine wins in their last 10 games en route to a second-place finish in the Sun Belt. USM replaces South Carolina, which drops out after getting swept at Tennessee.
D1Baseball editors and national writers determine the Top 25 rankings. Records are through games of May 18.
