Texas A&M takes over the No. 1 spot in the D1Baseball Top 25 rankings for the first time this year, ending Arkansas’ five-week run at the top. The Aggies swept a series against then-No. 6 Vanderbilt to improve to 11-4 in the SEC, within one game of first-place Arkansas. The Hogs lost their first series of the year, dropping two of three at Alabama to slide to No. 2 in the rankings.

The top four teams in the rankings all hail from the SEC, as Kentucky leaps five spots to No. 3 after sweeping a road series at Auburn to improve to 14-1 in the conference. Tennessee remains No. 4 after sweeping LSU.

Oregon State remains No. 5, and Clemson falls four spots to No. 6 after a 1-3 week that included a midweek loss to USC Upstate and a home series loss to NC State. That starts a run of three straight ACC teams and five ACC teams in six spots, as the Tigers are followed by No. 7 Duke, No. 8 Florida State, No. 10 Virginia, No. 11 North Carolina and No. 12 Wake Forest.

Vanderbilt tumbles seven spots to No. 13 after getting swept by the Aggies. Louisiana jumps five spots to No. 14 after a 4-1 week, and Oklahoma State leaps six spots to No. 15 after going 4-0. Other climbers include Oregon (up two places to No. 16) and Alabama (up seven to No. 18 after taking down the Razorbacks).

Four teams join the rankings this week: South Carolina jumps back in at No. 20 after beating UNC midweek and taking two of three at Florida on the weekend. Arizona makes its season debut in the rankings at No. 21 after beating Stanford midweek and sweeping Louisiana Tech on the weekend. West Virginia enters at No. 22 after sweeping UCF, which tumbles out of the Top 25 from No. 17. And Georgia joins the rankings for the first time this year at No. 24.

UCF, Mississippi State, Nebraska and Florida fall out of the rankings after losing weeks.

D1Baseball editors and national writers determine the Top 25 rankings. Records are through games of April 14.
