The summer college league season is winding down, and a number of champions have been crowned in the past week and a half. As Kendall Rogers wrote, the Brazos Valley Bombers captured their third straight Texas Collegiate League title. And as Frankie Piliere noted, the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox repeated as Cape Cod League champions, winning their fifth title in the last 12 years under coach Scott Pickler. Y-D has reached the finals seven times in that impressive span.
