On December 2, 2014, UAB erupted into a coach’s nightmare.

For Brian Shoop, it was almost as if it was 2006 again and his Birmingham Southern baseball program was in the crosshairs. This time, in 2014, UAB’s football, women’s rifle and bowling teams were going away. Shoop, the Blazers’ head baseball coach, still had a program.
