SEC ExtraSouth Carolina is in a transition period, as longtime LSU head coach Paul Mainieri returned to the game to take the job with the Gamecocks after the dismissal of Mark Kingston in June.
As is always the case with coaching changes these days, there is some roster turnover to be found, but in the likes of Ethan Petry, Blake Jackson, Kennedy Jones and Talmadge LeCroy in the lineup, plus Dylan Eskew and Matthew Becker on the pitching staff, among others, there are still plenty of veterans to be found.
