For the second time as a member of the SEC, Missouri finds itself at the start of a new era. The first came when longtime head coach Tim Jamieson stepped down after the 2016 season and Steve Bieser took over. 

In Bieser’s seven seasons at the helm, the Tigers had a few close brushes with postseason appearances, particularly early in his tenure, but never could get over the hump. After last season, he was let go.
