2024 SEC Preseason Snapshot: Vanderbilt
SEC ExtraFolks have been quick the last couple of years to speculate about the demise of Vanderbilt as one of the upper-crust programs in college baseball.
There were myriad reasons why some thought a downturn was in the books. Perhaps chief among them that Vanderbilt’s academic standards and a propensity for a traditional approach to roster building would prevent the Commodores from keeping up with the Joneses in transfer portal recruiting and that NIL money could be an equalizer for other programs recruiting against them.
