For Bulldogs, it all comes down to pitching

After a pair of disappointing seasons, Mississippi State has stocked the pitching staff looking for a return to glory.

In the Bulldogs’ 2021 title campaign, the pitching staff compiled a 4.04 ERA and 1.26 WHIP (walks plus hits per inning pitched). In 2022, those figures dropped to a 6.05 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. Last season, the numbers fell even more to a 7.01 ERA and 1.77 WHIP.
