SEC ExtraThe SEC’s opening weekend was packed with surprises. After all, no one expected five series sweeps. However, no result rippled through the college baseball landscape further than Missouri’s three-game sweep over Tennessee.
A year ago, Tony Vitello’s Volunteers did the sweeping, winning their first 12 SEC games. But last week, Missouri, a team many felt would finish last in the SEC, not just swept Tennessee but did by a 23-6 combined score.
