Neely slams the door in Florida win to begin Clemson Super Regional
SEC ExtraCLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson has won enough nerve-shredding thrillers this season that you just expect that to be a rabbit it can pull out of its hat at any moment, and it certainly felt like things were on the verge of turning in the bottom of the sixth inning Saturday afternoon in game one of the Clemson Super Regional.
Florida led 9-5 in large part thanks to a seven-run top of the fifth inning, but the Tigers had runners on second and third with no outs and the heart of the lineup due, starting with two-hole hitter Jacob Hinderleider.
