Etheridge: SEC eyeing record eight host sites
SEC ExtraHOOVER, Ala. – South Carolina entered the SEC Tournament hoping for a regional host. After winning its opening game over Georgia, the Gamecocks dropped consecutive games to LSU and Texas A&M and head home uncertain regarding next week’s regional destination.
The RPI dropped a bit during the week but is still a strength at No. 8 as of mid-day Thursday. Their 1-2 week leaves them at 17-15 against SEC competition but just 3-11 at the end of the season. USC is 20-16 versus the RPI top 50 and 14-15 versus the teams in the most recent projected field.
