SEC ExtraThe SEC went 10-1 in midweek games this week.
South Carolina got the biggest win of the midweek with a 5-0 shutout of North Carolina in Charlotte’s Truist Field. Matthew Becker and Eli Jerzembeck each had three shutout innings in a game that was scoreless until the seventh. Evan Stone led the Gamecocks with two hits. Looking ahead to the weekend showdown with LSU, WIll Sanders will start Thursday hight versus Paul Skenes. Sanders skipped last weekend’s start.
