SEC Newcomer Report: Texas A&M

Upon the arrival of head coach Jim Schlossnagle and his staff two years ago, Texas A&M jumped into recruiting via the transfer portal head first, and it worked out swimmingly, with the Aggies returning to the College World Series right away. 

Last year, they continued to use the portal effectively but also brought in a superstar freshman in outfielder Jace LaViolette. This class looks like it could be something similar. Transfers are still going to have a big role to play, none bigger than Stanford transfer Braden Montgomery, but there is also real star potential in this group of incoming freshmen.
