Vanderbilt has long been among the very best programs in the country at not only recruiting high-end talent but also getting a lot of that talent to campus, even some players you might have assumed were more likely ticketed for pro baseball out of high school. 

That level of recruiting hasn’t changed, but what did change this offseason is that the Commodores dove into the transfer portal waters a bit more aggressively than they had in previous offseasons, which served to add depth to its group of newcomers.
