Player of the Week – Jac Caglianone, Florida

Florida lost its series over the weekend at home against Kentucky, but Caglianone certainly did his part at the plate, even as the Wildcats pitched him extremely carefully. In a four-game week that also included a midweek win over South Florida, he went 7-for-13 with a double, two home runs, eight runs scored and eight walks, with that last number hammering home just how rarely he saw pitches to hit. He’s batting .418/.529/.862 this season with 28 home runs, 55 RBIs and 38 walks compared to 18 strikeouts.
