Player of the Week 

Alabama breezed through a series sweep of Richmond over the weekend and Pinckney was right in the middle of all of it. He finished the series 8-for-10, including a 4-for-4 game to begin the season, with two doubles and a home run. There was preseason buzz about Pinckney making the leap to become an SEC player of the year-type player, and this certainly qualifies as getting off on the right foot.
