The true freshman entered the program as a potential two-way option and exploded at the plate leading the Gamecocks in batting, on-base percentage, slugging, home runs, and RBIs. The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder broke the South Carolina freshman record for both home runs (23) and RBI (75), led the team with 24 multi-hit games and 19 multi-RBI performances, including a two home run and eight RBI effort in a win over LSU.
