Lineup MVP:  Andrew Pinckney took the next step and became one of the most exciting players in the conference. The fourth-year junior slashed .339/.442/.648 and slugged 18 home runs, and drove in 58 runs. He added 12 doubles and eight stolen bases and drew a team-high 40 walks. He added a 5-5 night with a home run and three RBIs against the eventual national champions, LSU. Moving between right field and center, Pinckney made many highlight-reel catches and threw out six advancing runners.
