SEC ExtraHow about we evaluate the RPI fallout after the first week of SEC play, plus a deep dive into the statistical leaders for both SEC-only games and overall leaders?
RPI Still Volatile: Despite five teams getting swept, only two SEC saw their RPI ranks plummet, and one of those teams only fell one spot. Ole Miss was the big loser, dropping from 21 to 48. Tennessee dropped to 46 from 45 despite three losses to Missouri. Everyone else, even the other three that were swept, actually made up ground in the RPI, largely from picking up their opponents’ winning percentage.
