SEC To Feature Permanent Foes in 2025: Our Projection

Two years from this weekend, SEC play will begin, but it will have a different look as Texas and Oklahoma join to form a 16-team league. What will the conference schedule look like?

Tuesday morning, D1baseball.com’s Kendall Rogers reported that the SEC would remain with a 30-game schedule. However, the format would change to set two permanent opponents with the other eight rotating. The SEC then followed with an official announcement, adding that all 16 teams would compete in a single division, eliminating the east and west format used since 1992.
