Vanderbilt wins SEC Tournament as legend of Troy LaNeve grows
SEC ExtraHOOVER, Ala. — Vanderbilt outfielder Troy LaNeve certainly has a flair for the dramatic.
Sunday’s SEC Tournament final had that desperate feel so many tournament finals have. Both teams were starting pitchers who had started once already in the tournament, hoping to get at least a few outs from them. Both teams had lost a game earlier in the tournament and had therefore played a game every day they were in Hoover.
