Wansing’s best outing pushes Texas A&M closer to NCAA Tourney lock

HOOVER, Ala. — To be clear, there’s a better than average chance that Texas A&M wasn’t playing for its postseason life Tuesday afternoon against Tennessee. 

Its resume from the regular season, including 14 SEC wins and an RPI that came into the game at 34, put it in good shape for an at-large bid. But with that being said, you never want to leave your fate in the hands of the selection committee if you can help it, and a win over the Volunteers would go a long way toward keeping the Aggies out of that situation.
