ABCA 2024: LSU’s Johnson presents opening session

GRAPEVINE, Texas — There are a whole host of off-field responsibilities for a head coach that come after winning a national title. 

There’s the championship parade immediately after lifting the trophy. At the start of the following season, there’s also a celebration in front of the home fans around opening weekend. And in between, there are an increased number of media obligations and speaking engagements, because everyone wants some time with the coach who won it all last season.
