NC State returns to Omaha after ‘never giving up’


ATHENS, Ga. — Tre Phelps held his bat in front of him, arms extended and watched the ball fly as he had done twice before in the Athens Super Regional. Those two times, the Georgia freshman enjoyed the sight of the baseball disappearing over the center field wall.
