StoriesThe first day of the MLB draft had some definite surprises. They continued on Day Two of the draft.
Eastern Illinois shortstop Trey Sweeney went higher than expected to the Yankees, Texas righthanded pitcher Ty Madden dropped all the way to 32 to the Tigers and Miami (Ohio) flamethrower Sam Bachman went No. 9 overall to the Angels on the first day. Then, on Day Two, several premier prospects, such as Georgia righthanded pitcher Jonathan Cannon went undrafted.
