D1Baseball Top 25: Arkansas remains No. 1 as four teams enter rankings

There was once again plenty of upheaval in the latest D1Baseball Top 25 Rankings, but you know what remains constant? Arkansas’ place in the top spot after the Hogs hit the road and took two of three from Auburn.
The rest of the top five includes Oregon State, which outscored Washington 31-3 in three games over the weekend, Clemson, which tormented Florida State’s bullpen in a series sweep, Texas A&M, which won a home series over Mississippi State and Tennessee, which scored 30 runs in two wins over Ole Miss this past weekend.
Florida remains at No. 6 after a 2-2 week that included a road series win over LSU, while the Tigers dropped three spots from No. 5 to No. 8. Virginia, which crushed Pittsburgh over the weekend, and Dallas Baptist, who beat Oklahoma and took two of three from Sam Houston, entered the Top 10 this week.
As for the rest of the latest Top 25 rankings, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina each jumped six spots after strong weekends against Boston College and Georgia Tech, respectively, while Alabama and Florida State each dropped five spots after getting swept on the road over the weekend.
Four new teams entered the latest rankings: South Carolina (18), NC State (22), Kansas State (23) and Kentucky (24). The Gamecocks played extremely well in a home series sweep over Vanderbilt this past weekend, NC State beat Coastal Carolina in the midweek before taking two of three from Duke at home, Kansas State hit the road and swept Houston and Kentucky improved to 5-1 in the SEC with a road series win over Missouri. TCU, Campbell, Auburn and UCSB dropped out of this week’s rankings, while in the spirit of transparency, Nebraska was team No. 26 on our board.
