Ivy League Dispatches: No. 3, No. 4 seeds Cornell, Penn take control

NEW YORK — Wyatt Henseler kept peeking over to the opposing dugout to see if Columbia head coach Brett Boretti was going to throw up four fingers, signaling to the home plate umpire his desire to intentionally walk the Ivy League Player of the Year.

Henseler hit his league-leading 20th home run an inning prior to spark a Penn rally to tie the score, and now he stepped to the plate with runners on the corners and two outs.

Columbia brought in senior James Vaughn to face Henseler and gave him the chance to battle against the three-time unanimous All-Ivy League[…]
