Kentucky’s Niman makes convincing argument for a permanent rotation spot
SEC ExtraSPARTANBURG, S.C. — There were two certainties in the Kentucky rotation going into the 2024 season.
Travis Smith was going to hold one of those spots, and he started for the Wildcats Friday. Mason Moore, last season’s top bullpen stopper, was going to hold one of the others, and he’s slated to start Sunday.
Fifth-year senior Central Connecticut State transfer lefthander Dominican Niman was among the candidates for the third spot, and in his start Saturday against USC Upstate, he made a compelling case to stick around the rotation for the long haul.
