Red-Hot Maryland Controls Destiny in B10 Race
StoriesPISCATAWAY, N.J. — Head coach Rob Vaughn took over at Maryland with big shoes to fill after John Szefc took the program to half its all-time regional appearances (three) and the first two super regionals in school history in a four-year span.
Vaughn inherited a team that had six players drafted, including the top hitter, fourth-rounder Kevin Smith, and top pitcher, Brian Shaffer in the sixth round.
