TCU mound trio silences Virginia offense

OMAHA — If you said beforehand that the elimination game between TCU and Virginia Sunday afternoon would produce seven total runs, it probably would have been taken as bad news for TCU. 

Both teams are built to win slugfests more so than close, low-scoring contests, but the Horned Frogs felt a bit shorter on the mound going into the game, no small thing considering how physical the Cavaliers’ lineup is.
