For the second time in three years the Kalamazoo Growlers won the Northwoods League championship, defeating the La Crosse Loggers by a score of 8-7 in a contest that took 14 innings to complete and included a two-hour rain delay. The Growlers’ strength was their pitching staff boasting the second-best cumulative ERA (4.15) of any Northwoods League team during the regular season.
