The Schoch Factor Podcast’s Stephen Schoch (@bigdonkey47), Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman (@CespedesBBQ) recap Day 2 of the Karbach Round Rock Classic, which began with the Iowa Hawkeyes bouncing back in a big way from their sleepy opener against Sam Houston by handing #1 LSU their first loss of the year.
The crew discusses the incredible outing by Iowa starter Brody Brecht despite his shaky command and the impressive showing from the Hawkeyes offense up and down the lineup. Next, they move to Game 2 where the Sam Houston Bearkats delivered a similarly dominant performance to Day 1 vs. Iowa as they defeated Kansas State 8-3 with 16 hits and another excellent pitching performance courtesy of lefty Steven Beard.
