Stephen Schoch (@bigdonkey47), Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman (@CespedesBBQ) reconvene to discuss their favorite things from the weekend that was in college baseball, starting with the national HR leader in Jac Caglianone and the spicy series down in Gainesville between Florida and Miami.
Next, Steve salutes another Florida squad in FGCU for their series win at Florida State.
Then it’s time to head north and discuss all the weirdest parts about watching baseball in a football stadium before shouting out an impressively committed umpire and an unbelievable feat of baserunning from Winthrop’s Brody Hopkins.
Next, they discuss some teams that caught their attention from Tennessee to Long Beach State to Central Connecticut’s unfortunate scheduling fate. They also highlight some individual players from Old Dominion’s dinger kings, Auburn freshman sensation Ike Irish, Gavin Casas, and of course, Cannon Peebles.
Finally, they debate which undefeated teams will stay that way the longest and which winless teams will get their first victory soonest.
