Driven Norby, Caddell Turn Themselves Into Stars For East Carolina

DURHAM, N.C. — Connor Norby stepped into the batter’s box at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in the sixth inning Tuesday, and the giant scoreboard adorning the left-field Blue Monster displayed his season stat line: .500/.545/.780, 3 home runs, 13 RBIs. And if Norby’s 25-for-50 start wasn’t impressive enough, he proceeded to hit an opposite-field three-run homer to break a 5-5 tie and propel East Carolina to an 11-5 win at Duke, improving ECU to 2-0 against the Blue Devils this year.
