ARLINGTON, Texas – Oklahoma head coach Skip Johnson couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate his 57th birthday.

After dropping the season opener to Oregon on Friday, the Sooners entered Saturday’s contest against No. 9 Tennessee looking to make a statement. And with that in mind, OU turned to veteran righthanded pitcher Brendan Girton, Kyson Witherspoon, and Ryan Lambert to help deliver the message in a 5-1 win over the Volunteers.
