NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma sophomore righthander Alec Hansen isn’t used to celebrity status around L. Dale Mitchell Park, but judging by the postgame after a 5-2 win over Texas Tech, it’s certainly something he can get used to.

Hansen, standing at an imposing 6-foot-7, 235 pounds, put together arguably the best start of his young career in a key Big 12 series victory over the Red Raiders. After creating a buzz throughout the crowd for nine innings, the power-armed righthander paraded through a throng of family and friends, giving hugs, signing autographs and smiling ear-to-ear.
