LOS ANGELES — After the UCLA half of the first inning of Thursday’s game between the Bruins and Oregon, a member of the Ducks dugout, whom I promised I wouldn’t identify, said to me, “We just freakin’ punched ourself in the face. We just can’t freakin’ DO that.”
