Underdog Of The Week: North Carolina

For first year North Carolina head coach Scott Forbes this 2021 season has been a little like describing the Flying Wolendas: dizzying heights, daring lows, death-defying acts and dire feats of derring-do.  

The long-time assistant to the legendary Mike Fox has seen his first-year team sweep weekends from the likes of Clemson and Louisville, while also being swept themselves at the hands of N.C. State and Notre Dame. They’ve also won series against Miami and Duke, and dropped weekends against Florida State and Pitt. To say the least, it’s been a real gauntlet for his team to navigate.
