DURHAM, N.C. — The big storyline heading into Virginia’s series at Duke was the marquee Friday night matchup between aces Connor Jones and Bailey Clark. Jones was outstanding over eight shutout innings, but Virginia catcher Matt Thaiss might have upstaged them both. Just don’t try telling him that.
