MINNEAPOLIS — The last time I went to the Twin Cities to see a Minnesota home series was 2007 when the Gophers hosted Ohio State on Senior Weekend. Old Siebert Field was a bit dusty and dingy at that time. It had hosted a Regional once before – in 2000 – but since it had been around since 1971, it was sinking into disrepair. It was like going to your Grandmothers house as a kid, it wasn’t pleasant and you came away talking about the moth balls and musty smell.
