Fitt: Beloso, Floyd solidify places in LSU lore

OMAHA — The longer a team stays in Omaha, the more opportunities arise for legends to emerge. Cade Beloso was already well on his way to LSU immortality with his repeated NCAA tournament heroics, most recently clubbing a crucial three-run homer to help lead LSU to a 5-2 win against Wake Forest on Wednesday. Beloso continued to burnish his legacy with another monster home run Saturday, and fellow Tiger Ty Floyd minted his own legend with a historically excellent pitching performance, as LSU beat Florida 4-3 in the first game of the CWS Finals.
